Frequently asked questions

Which format should I pick?

WebP for websites — usually 25–35% smaller than JPG. PNG or WebP when you need transparency, JPG for the widest compatibility. AVIF is the smallest, but not every browser can save it.

Can I convert iPhone photos (HEIC)?

On iPhone and Mac, yes — Safari can open HEIC. Chrome and Edge can't; on iPhone you can shoot JPG via Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.

What happens to transparency in JPG?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white.

Is it really free?

Yes. These tools are completely free — no sign-up, no credits, no watermark. Your file is processed on your device, so it costs us nothing.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Your file is processed in your browser and never leaves your device. The internet is only used to open the page.

Is there a file limit?

Videos up to 2 GB and 30 minutes. Processing time depends on your device; keep the tab open for long videos.

Which browsers are supported?

Works best in current Chrome, Edge and Opera. Some video tools are limited in Safari and Firefox; a tool tells you clearly when your browser can't run it.
