Frequently asked questions
How is this better than a screenshot?
The frame is saved at the video's own resolution (e.g. 1920 × 1080 or 4K), not your screen's, and without player controls.
PNG or JPG?
PNG is lossless and good for editing but large. JPG and WebP are much smaller; JPG is fine for YouTube and social thumbnails.
Which browsers does it work in?
Any current browser that can play the video: Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox and mobile browsers.
Is it really free?
Yes. These tools are completely free — no sign-up, no credits, no watermark. Your file is processed on your device, so it costs us nothing.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is processed in your browser and never leaves your device. The internet is only used to open the page.
Is there a file limit?
Videos up to 2 GB and 30 minutes. Processing time depends on your device; keep the tab open for long videos.
Which browsers are supported?
Works best in current Chrome, Edge and Opera. Some video tools are limited in Safari and Firefox; a tool tells you clearly when your browser can't run it.
